#Ni controller editor update how to
I don’t know how to enable the display of the loop section nor the VuMeters for each channel I have same problem for enabling the browse and loop knob rotation. Shift->pushing decrease itįor now I have not enabled the rotation hability of the knob Pushing the right knob on the loop increase the beatjump size.

Pushing the left knob on the loop increase the loop step. Shift->sample button turn playing off and cue to sample start. The other tree play the corresponding channel sample. The samples buttons have been enabled: the first of each channel turns the playing track to the begining. I have to work more for a full working browse knob on library functions Pushing the browse knob turn off the selected track play on headphones. The rec and play buttons move up/down selected track on library. The loop recorder knobs and size-undo buttons have been configurated for headphone mix, play selected track on headphones and split functions. loop recorder dry/wet plus 4 buttons are not working.Channel A, B, C, D led indicators not working.I think the jog wheels response could be improved.

I can’t run it on Linux, but it does on Windows 10 Mixxx 2.3.0 software after installing the Windows driver and running the Native Instruments “Controller Editor” Software. I have been working on improving the controller mapping midi and Java files for the Traktor Kontrol S4 mk1. Native_Instruments_S4_Mixxx_Mapping.zip (53 KB)

I 'll update the mapping when some improvements are done. Then you have to place the midi.xml file in to the Mixxx 's midi map ( ).ģ)Fire up Mixxx -> Go to preferences -> Midi controllers -> Traktor S4 -> Select the preset, click OK. (Be sure to have you 're S4 in MIDI-mode / press SHIFT + BROWSE) So all you have to do is import (open) the template (from the attachment file below) into Native Instruments Controller Software. That software isn’t Linux compatible… (I can’t test if it works with WINE, because my Linux computer is dead ) I’ve mapped my Kontrol S4 to work with Mixxx.īut there is still much work to do… (LED aren’t working, jog-wheels works to fast…)Īnd there is a problem: you have to run the Native Instruments Control Manager software in orde change some settings on the S4. This is will be my first contribution to the Mixxx project!
